The warblers love the water’s edge and don’t mind the boats - so you’ll have birds almost in your lap! This trip is great for a close study of fall migrants.
We’ll leave the boats after 2 hours and explore this great migrant hotspot on foot for an hour.
Difficulty: Moderate
Trip Type: Kayak
Trip Distance: 1 mile approximately by boat and 1 mile on foot
Terrain: Walking will be on paved and gravel paths. Kayaks will be at the bottom of a mild slope.
Notes: The hardest thing about this will be getting in and out of kayaks that are on the ground. The trip is in a sheltered lagoon and the water is calm. No kayak instruction will be given.
